A family business with history
In the fifth generation, Torsten H. Spliedt opened the store in Kampen on Sylt over thirteen years ago. Here, the owner occasionally sits with a customer in a beach basket chair in front of the store to help find the perfect gift.
The founder 1825
Claus Herrmann Spliedt had a passion for drawing and crafts. The Danish king, who happened to be present for an inspection at the school graduation, offered the young Spliedt a tuition-free place at the University of Copenhagen, as he had been introduced as the top student in his class. However, Spliedt politely declined. He preferred to become a goldsmith.
At the age of 31, the young goldsmith Claus Hermann Spliedt purchased the house at Breiten Strasse No. 18 on October 16, 1856. This laid the foundation for the goldsmith's workshop in Itzehoe. His official entry into the trade was later set in 1857.
Watch & Jewellery Apartment Hamburg
Since 2016, we have successfully operated a jewelry store in Hamburg. There, the two managing directors Lucas Graf Strachwitz and Delficus Graf Douglas advise customers along with their team. Their passion for high-quality watches and jewelry, combined with their high standards of quality, has attracted many customers.
With the changing times, we decided to rethink the traditional jewelry store. In July 2023, this led to our first Watch & Jewelry Apartment in Hamburg – a place for discreet, stylish consultations in a modern atmosphere.

We are continuing this journey in Munich starting in March 2025: Our new Watch & Jewelry Apartment in the heart of the city represents a new form of shopping – far from traditional sales spaces, with ample room for personal conversations and individual selection.
