This Rolex Day-Date reference 1803 with serial number 2.374.202 dates from around 1970 and belongs to the most iconic vintage models of the Rolex brand. The Day-Date was introduced in 1956 and remains one of the most prestigious wristwatches in the world. Particularly characteristic are the full weekday display at 12 o’clock, the date with Cyclops lens at 3 o’clock and the classic fluted bezel. The 36 mm Oyster case gives the watch an elegant and timeless presence on the wrist. The acrylic crystal underscores the authentic vintage character of reference 1803. Inside operates the automatic Rolex calibre 1556, a chronometer movement with 26 jewels, a frequency of 19,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. The Day-Date 1803 does not yet feature a quick-set function for date or weekday, further highlighting its historical character. It stands for classic watchmaking, understated elegance and the unmistakable design language of Rolex in the 1970s. A significant vintage collector’s piece with great recognition value and timeless appeal.
