The Panerai Luminor 1950 8 Days GMT PAM 289 embodies the essence of Panerai’s long-standing watchmaking tradition. This 2009 model is based on the iconic designs of the 1950s, originally developed for the Italian navy. With its robust construction and distinctive crown-protecting bridge, the Luminor 1950 is a symbol of reliability and a spirit of adventure. The polished stainless-steel case measures 44 mm in diameter and offers water resistance to 10 ATM, approximately 100 metres. The black dial with luminous Arabic numerals and indexes ensures excellent legibility and is complemented by a GMT function for a second time zone. The central GMT hand in arrow form and the date display at 3 o’clock highlight the watch’s functional elegance. At its heart beats the manufacture calibre P.2002/1, a hand-wound movement with an impressive 192-hour power reserve – equivalent to eight days. This calibre, developed entirely in-house, features 21 jewels and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The case is satin-finished and polished, while the brown leather strap with a classic stainless-steel pin buckle ensures a high level of comfort. Particularly noteworthy is the GMT function, appreciated by travellers, as well as the iconic Luminor shape that made Panerai world-famous. The watch is in unworn condition and is delivered with its original box and papers. A timeless piece for collectors and enthusiasts of fine mechanics.
