Originally developed in the 1950s for scientists and engineers working in strong magnetic fields, this model resists magnetic fields of up to 1,000 Gauss – a feature reflected in the French term 'Mille Gauss' within its name. The Oystersteel case measures 40 mm in diameter and offers water resistance of up to 100 metres. The finishing is impeccable: polished and satin-finished surfaces lend the watch a timeless elegance, while the iconic Oystersteel bracelet with its Easy-Link extension ensures optimal wearing comfort. The distinctive blue dial, often referred to as Z-Blue, captivates with luminous orange accents and the characteristic lightning-bolt seconds hand in orange, recalling the anti-magnetic properties. Above the dial sits the green sapphire crystal (Glace Verte), which gives the watch a unique shimmer and sets it apart from other models. Inside beats the Rolex calibre 3131, an automatic movement with a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. This calibre is fitted with a Parachrom hairspring, ensuring exceptional precision and resistance to magnetic fields and temperature fluctuations.
